About
Improve your IFR skills, prepare for simulator screenings or support your flight training with the IFR Flight Simulator designed for pilots and student pilots. Basic knowledge in instrument flight rules (IFR) required Calculate and fly procedures in a realistic real time flight simulator with a modern cockpit interface and review the flown track on the map. Realistic flight physics provide an excellent experience. The database includes more than 5000 airports and 11000 navigation aids. +++ APPROACHES +++ Select one of over 5000 airports to fly approach procedures including ILS. +++ HOLDING TRAINER +++ Generate randomized holdings and figure out entry procedures, calculate wind correction angles and timings. Fly VOR, VOR-DME and NDB holdings with the simulator and review the flown track on the map. +++ INTERCEPT TRAINER +++ Generate randomized intercept situations and figure out the heading for in- and outbound intercepts. Fly the intercept and review the flown track on the map. Disclaimer: Do not use this application for flight planning or real aviation purposes. Though the game itself is good, the ads are a bit annoying for someone who doesn't have the budget to pay. Just about every feature in the app is a pro feature or you need to watch an ad to use it just once. If you have the intrest in it you will definitely want to pay for the pro version as the you can't even manually fly in the free version.

IT'S INSANE. They make it free to download but when you select the airport it says you have to pay to fly. To fly this heck no! At least make people pay for installing it that doing that cheeky thing. Definitely don't buy if you want to use your credit card.

The App itself deserves ***** five stars. Update 8/29/20. developer has been responsive & trying to make changes so the banner won't impact the app functions. Upgraded to 3 stars. Hopefully to five soon. 8/26/20 My RESPONSE to the developers: as mentioned, the app is UNINSTALLED and I have no intention to reinstall to send you screenshots. Do it yourself; There is a GOOGLE AD banner at the bottom of the screen covering some controls. See other comments as well APP WAS UNINSTALLED. 8/25/20

I am not a pilot (but have always dreamed of being one since my youth, but life had other plans for me ~ I'm 58 now), but must admit that this IFR simulator app is highly addictive. It is also very satisfying when coming in on an approach and landing the plane successfully. I especially like the map that is displayed after your flight, showing the plane's trajectory to and from the airport.

The app is very very nice it has a nice interface and works well. It deserved 5* if it was updated regularly and if it was added more control over the speed in free flight mode

It's okay, but not free. There's a huge banner ad that's covering the controls that you need to use, and there's no way to move or remove the ad unless you pay to have the ads removed. For all intents and purposes jf you want to use it, you have to buy it.

Not a pilot (I wish), but I enjoy flight sims and learning everything I can about IFR. This app is not only a great tool for intuitivly understanding the geometry behind hold navigation, but also being able to practice windage adjustments. The addition of freeflight and multiple airports really shows the potential. I would love to see point to point radio navigation and an ILS landing simulation option + ingame link to charts/maps. This is fun learning!

Breathtaking app. Extremely useful, especially the free flight option. I just love it. I can't wait to see more features or even a computer version. Good work. Thanks

App works just as intended, although I would love for holding pattern and intercept exercises to have an adjustable course knob like in an aircraft. An analogue layout option would also be fantastic for those of us not flying on glass. Another small option would be to use the more conventional 'outbound' and 'inbound' terminology for intercepts rather than the Q codes.

It would be great, if it made any sense. Put a helpful guide in there while you're flying. I kept trying to do what the "tutorial" said, but the panels kept spinning or dropping or rising. Oy!

I enjoy the holding patterns, good visual positioning reverence. Intercepting the inbound or outbound courses is also good, takes time. The 3rd option, I'm not sure about. I haven't figured it out yet.
